When we visited our spiritual father, Pastor S. D. Gumbi, to inform him of our decision to get married, he broke down and cried for joy. While we stood, amazed, he broke into an emotional, spirit-filled prayer, dedicating our decision to the Almighty God. Eventually he said, “You guys do not understand what you have just started. I know you are thinking that this is about the two of you. Well, let me tell you, this relationship – this union, has got nothing to do with you.” We looked at him in confusion. He continued, “This is not about you. This is about the Kingdom of God. God is doing something radically new and somewhat different from what you have seen before. Watch this space and remain faithful and obedient so that God can use you to fulfil His Master plan.” We accepted the counsel and agreed to be sensitive to the movement of God in our lives, for it is written in 1 Corinthians 2 verse 9: “No eye has seen, nor ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what God has prepared for those who love Him”.
